Light brown, round tablets, plain on one side and scored on the other.

The tablets can be divided into 4 equal parts.

Dogs.

INDICATIONS

For the treatment of canine congestive heart failure derived from valvular insufficiency (mitral and/or tricuspid regurgitation) or dilated cardiomyopathy.

DOSAGE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION

Do not exceed recommended dose.

Determine the weight accurately before starting treatment to ensure a correct dose.

The tablets should be administered orally at a dose of 0.2 mg to 0.6 mg pimobendan/kg body weight per day. The preferable daily dose is 0.5 mg pimobendan/kg body weight. The dose has to be divided into two administrations (0.25 mg/kg of weight each), half in the morning and the other half approximately 12 hours later. The maintenance dose must be individually adjusted by the responsible veterinarian according to the severity of the disease.

The medicine can be combined with a diuretic treatment, for example with furosemide.

To break a double scored tablet into quarters, place it on a flat surface with the score facing up and press down on the center with your thumb.

Each dose should be administered approximately one hour before each meal.
