PISALIV® VET is made from tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic obtained from Streptomyces tenebrarius cultures. Chemically, it
is considered a natural deoxykanamycin with superior activity to its analogue.
Composition. Each mL contains: Tobramycin 3 mg Vehicle qsp 1 mL
Species. Dogs and cats: Because eye infections have a high risk of progressing from unilateral to bilateral, it is suggested to treat both eyes simultaneously. For moderate eye infections:
Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye at 4-6 hour intervals for the first 24-48 hours, then decrease the frequency according to the progress of the case,
to a frequency of no less than 2 drops every 8 hours. For severe eye infections: Instill 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye every hour until noticeable improvement is achieved,
then continue with 2 drops every 3-4 hours. The administration time will vary depending on the condition. It is recommended to discontinue therapy at least 48 hours after the infection has been controlled.
